Have we already hit a media saturation point, how can media platforms better serve Australian audiences now? 

We seeing Australians grappling with the compulsion to consume as much news as possible to keep informed and try to make sense of the of the ever-changing situation. But at the same time there is awareness of the detrimental impact of increased levels of negative news on their wellbeing. 

We’re seeing news obsessions creating anxiety and sleep disturbances and people resorting to ‘digital distancing’ limiting consumption to trusted news sources or resorting to shutting news off completely. People are looking for help to navigate the media landscape, seeking assistance in feeling informed but not overwhelmed.
